roses are red, violets are blue, @selenagomez if you'll break @justinbieber's heart I'm gonna kill you :

Okay so, seriously, I’m pretty sure that pop culture and celebrity worship have been taking steroids the past few years. Take for instance this case of “Bieber Fever” which has spread to young girls all over the world. They literally go crazy over this kid. First Kim Kardashian gets attacked for jokingly calling the Biebz her boyfriend on twitter. Now the 12-year-olds (that IS how old you are if you're into Justin Bieber, right?) of the world are on the hunt once more. Who is the object of this severely misguided rage this time? They’re after none other than poor Disney Tween Queen Selena Gomez (18). The “Wizards of Waverly Place” star began receiving death threats after TMZ posted pictures of her with Justin (who is 16, two years her junior) on a yacht in the Caribbean over New Years. Now, having just barely made it out of my teen years alive last September, I remember what it’s like when a new young heartthrob enters the scene and your very young and underdeveloped brain, tweaked out on hormones, believes that this guy is the one for you. But I never once heard any of my peers say they wanted to inflict pain on Britney Spears when she started dating (and publicly proclaiming her virginity with) Justin Timberlake. Just one example of many depicting the really rather disgusting way that pop culture has taken over the lives of so many people...

  1. The headline kills me! In today's age when we're all so wrapped up in technology and internet subculture it's awesome that you were able to boldly incorporate that into your narrative.
