Gucci Mane, an Atlanta rap star, has recently been sentenced to a psychiatric hospital to undergo mental evaluations. A deliberate ploy by his lawyer, this comes after he was in court for probation violations.
This clearly isn't the first time Gucci has been to court. He has been in and out of the Fulton County jail since 2005 on charges ranging from traffic violations to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Prolonging the case of his probation violations seems a little unfair to those without celebrity status. Would a legit mentally ill drug addict be given this special treatment? I really doubt it. But like the saying goes, mo' money, mo' problems.
