Character Sketch.

I've been trying to get into the habit of writing more often, and have found that a good way to do that is to sketch your characters.
I wrote a "Weird West" short story a while back about a cowboy in purgatory, and ended up throwing it out. I liked my premise, though, and decided to rewrite it, and change a few things I thought didn't work.
This is the figure that stalks the main character through the endless purgatory desert.

Recovery from an Awesome Night.

I love chilled out music. I love low lighting. I love coffee.
I combined all of this in the perfect hangover recovery experience.
Suffice to say I had an excellent time at revival (and I apologize profusely for everything I did that I am unable to remember), but now recuperation was necessary.

Coffee being born. It's...
Beautiful...

I began with turning the lights down low, and turning on some Boards of Canada.

I have the best lamp.

The coffee was brewing, the sunlight pouring through the window. I was beginning to forget my splitting headache.

No mug. Classy plastic cup of coffee is classy.

After listening to some music from Homestuck (the greatest thing the internet has ever produced), and a few other tracks I was finally ready to leave my room, and no longer wished to kill everything producing noise.

Everything went better than expected.

Evan Wilson is all gonna laugh at you.

Cffee Brke my Keybard

Nothing about this went well.
Laugh at this and the fact that I now need an extra keyboard to type.

Evan Wilson is a pretty ok guy who is currently not very laid back due to the fact that he must now bring his laptop to the macstore. Again. When he isn't making poor decisions while being filmed, he is probably making them while not being filmed.

They See Him Trolling, They Hating: Armond White Hosts NYFCC Awards

Noted film critic and oft-accused real-life troll, Armond White, recently hosted the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. And --surprise!-- people flipped out. White, who is famous for rating films in the exact opposite manner of most critics (i.e. praising Jonah Hex, railing against True Grit), deliberately went out of his way to only address less successful and critically acclaimed films by the actors he was introducing throughout the awards ceremony. Michelle Williams, for instance, was given an introduction pertaining only to her 2004 film, Land of Plenty, to which she reportedly responded, "I'm not going to read any of your reviews of my other work, because you really had to reach."

What a poor, delicate angel! Seriously, I may just be confusing these Hollywood types with hipsters, but shouldn't they have a basic understanding of irony? Managers of several celebrities also went into an offended frenzy after Ricky Gervais' comedy as host of the Golden Globes this past weekend that included digs at Angelina Jolie, Charlie Sheen, and scientologists, among others. Can't these people take a joke? I, for one, was impressed that an awards show actually had good writing, for once.

Everyone needs to calm down, lighten up, and learn to take a joke. I remember when I first learned about Armond White while browsing the boards at Rotten Tomatoes. Several pages of commenters anticipating the release of Toy Story 3 raged about the insolence of White and threatened violence if he prevented the film from a 100% Tomatometer rating. And this was before they had seen the movie. Maybe people should enjoy reading some of his reviews for the humor and appreciate the value of an opposing point of view. And as for the celebrities? They can get over themselves.

Pricier Products At Whole Foods

Whole Foods has been on the market since 1980 and is getting pricier every year. In fact Carolyn Malcoun has just wrote a news letter on what to and what not to buy from Whole Foods. What we havn't realized though is that everything there is $1 to $2 more than every other grocery store out there. We could be saving hundreds every year! This could mean a lot to the poor and college students who work for minimum wage. The quality of products must be better than other places right? Not exactly, you can find toothpaste and food for cheaper at other stores such as Walmart. Walmart may be the best place for college students to save money on a vast amount of products that are usually on sale. So we should all look out for coupons hanging under products and discounts to save money.

Just as Every Cop is a Criminal, and all the Sinners Saints.

The police in Sherman arrested a woman with meth recently. That's great. Nobody likes meth. Unless you're under it's influence anyway. Meth's kind of like vampires in that way.

Feasting on the blood of a virgin isn't normal.
But on meth it is.

But the officers in question pulled two people over for a traffic violation, saw that they had a record with drug offenses, and searched them. First off, that's either not the whole story, or it's not entirely legal. That's unwarranted search and seizure and the constitution protects you from it. You can waive it and allow them to search you without a warrant, and cops frequently try to convince you to do this, through manipulation, but I think it'd take a hell of a lot to convince a woman to let you search her when she's got fourteen grams of meth all up in her business.

I think she either wasn't aware of her rights, or the officers ignored them. I've had friends go to jail over cops ignoring rights and using an ends justify means method, many of whom actually told the cops their rights were being violated. If this keeps up, don't be surprised if you know a few people in the same boat.

Adele Continues to Reharmonize Pop Standards Physically and Musically

Adele's new album drops on Monday but has already leaked onto sharing sites. Her latest single, "Rolling in the Deep" is slated to become the number one song this week in the UK as well. With such a big year already happening for Adele, the album marks a new direction in her musical prowess with a clearer sound and cohesive lyrics that surely will involve more listeners.

In a world full of scantily clad female pop stars, Adele rises against the standard of showing tits and ass to move a record on the charts. Adele, who has a full figure frame sings about heartache and the pains of moving on from her boyfriend in her latest album, 21. It also successfully empowers women and let's the public know that big girls have problems too.

Within the music industry body images are rampant. Skinny super stars are the creme of the crop like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. However, Adele is different from this and with that she receives less coverage than other pop stars. This cheapens the outlook of musical diversity by saying. "if you don't have the looks, then don't try" and to bigger girls that they too are of less self worth in the eyes of creativity.

Here Is A Vid & It's Sealed With A Kiss

My foray into the world of lip dub with Crazy Town's classic, "Butterfly."

This is a Political Post. You can Save Time By Skipping the Article and Proceeding Straight to the Comment Flaming.

I really hate giving Glen Beck attention. Actually, I really hate giving any of the talking heads that are the faces of politics these days attention. But it needs to be done. Beck and others like him, including Limbaugh and even (as sorry as I am to say it) Jon Stewart on occasion, are ruining american politics.

This isn't about their political affiliation, I'm libertarian, and even if I wasn't, I wouldn't attack someone for believing differently from me, that's how our country is supposed to be run. But what I am attacking is the cult of personality thing they have running.

Everyone knows about them. And they don't say the kind of things that will change anyone's mind about an issue. What they do is make the people who agree with them happy, and piss off everyone who doesn't. See, whether you agree with them or not, they get attention. That attention gives them money. So they benefit from doing everything they can to piss people off who don't agree with them, and from telling their supporters what they want to hear. Then they can call their opponents names, and hope that will sway voters, while convincing their own supporters to vote for people and laws they know little about.

This is a very funny man.
You still should not base your
political opinion on him.

I think the only way our political system actually works is by getting people who know what's going on to vote, not encouraging those who don't to do the same. People decide they either like this person's style, or the way they portray their affiliation, and decide to follow their party based on that. Getting information from these shows is pointless, because either side is incredibly biased, and the only smart thing to do is find your own information on matters you care about and not vote on things you don't.

So please. If you don't like Rush Limbaugh Bill O'Reilly, or Glen Beck, don't watch them. Don't wait for them to do something stupid and attack it. They aren't, for the most part, what intelligent conservatives agree with, they're caricatures. And if you really hate them that much, stop feeding them money.

Don't Hold It Against Me, Paying Homage to Britney Spears

Recently, Britney Spears released her fourth number one hit, "Hold It Against Me." Naturally, I had to do a music video for it.

Evan has an Alligator Head, also Rocks this Party.

Here, have a heaping spoonful of Vlog.

Also, there is no real party in this video, except the figurative party that I bring with me everywhere I go.

Anne Hathaway To Bring Impressive Assets To Catwoman Role

Good news, horndogs! If you've ever wanted to see this in a slinky catsuit, you're in luck! Anne Hathaway has been cast as Cat Woman in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. All comments I've come across on the topic address the young actresses' looks rather than acting skills. Isn't it great that a character that has such a complex comic book history can be written off as a sex object? I don't see anyone getting excited about the announcement that Tom Hardy is going to be playing Bane in the film.

With Anne's recent choices to go nude in Love and Other Drugs and on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, her Hollywood stock has risen enormously. Personally, all of her acting stock plummeted in my book after her disastrous stint hosting SNL last fall. But don't bother getting her an acting coach to take on this multi-faceted and mysterious villain, Nolan; the costume designers will be too busy taking measurements to figure out all the perfect places to put holes in her suit.
